Personal Profile - Cindy Sheridan
Before any business relationship begins, it’s important to know the professional and personal background of the REALTOR® you will be entrusting with your most expensive asset…your home.
Growing up in Niagara Falls, I have come to know and love so much about this area, and it has become a part of me. I have played in its parks, swam and sailed in the lakes, hiked parts of the Bruce Trail, golfed many of its courses, photographed, painted and absorbed the natural beauty of its geography. This was a beautiful area to grow up in and live in; I share all this with my husband Roy of 34 years.
After high school I studied accounting with the intention of someday working for myself or owning a business, and it served me well, understanding the financial security and the financial wealth a home brings. After working in industrial and private accounting, my love for beautiful homes became the springboard that brought me to real estate, and it was a great decision and I love what I do!
Finding balance between work and life is not always easy, but when I am not working, I am an avid reader and my husband and I travel to interesting and out of the way places.
I love to photograph the outstanding places that we have been. We have climbed Diamond Head Crater in Hawaii, fished in New Zealand, walked on the Great Wall of China, flew in an Ultra-light plane around Cook Island, stood on the south rim of the Grand Canyon, and toured among the islands of Halong Bay in Vietnam.
The experiences have been exhilarating, however, one particular passion has been my love for art and for learning. When I have the extra time, I take Fine Arts classes at Brock University, and I have won a few juried art shows with my version of painting and self expression.
Evolution and growth as an artist is a journey and an aspiration of mine. After an amazing trip to Museums in Spain in 2015, and especially the Prado, I walked away with only one thought; I have so much to learn. Inspired by the very old medieval and renaissance painting and all the way through history to the impressionist in the last century, the different styles of the art periods left me fascinated and I want to paint copies of the originals to learn how they did it.
